Floyd Bennett Field Gardening

Help care for native plants for the Founder Seed Program with the Greenbelt Native Plant Center! The Founder Seed Program aims to grow native seed, sourced from local populations, for restoration projects across the city. Activities may include planting, weeding, general fieldwork, and harvesting at Floyd Bennett Field. Tools will be provided. No prior knowledge about native plants or farming is required.

Come dressed in sturdy boots or shoes, long pants, and clothing that can get dirty.

Please note: Space is limited and registration is required. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
