Flow Arts Jam (MPJ Park)

Join us for an open community Flow Jam — an inclusive, judgment-free space for flow artists, dancers, and movement enthusiasts of all skill levels to come together, share, and grow! Bring your props, your passion, and your curiosity.

This jam is all about play, connection, and movement — whether you’re into poi, hooping, staff, fans, rope dart, juggling, silk veil fans, or just dancing to the music, there’s space for you here. Come practice, collaborate, or simply vibe out and be inspired.

What to Bring:

• Your props (and extras to share if you’d like!)
• Water & snacks
• A blanket or mat to sit on
• Respect for all

Group Description:

Flowtopia is a vibrant community of diverse flow artists in NYC , transcending boundaries of age, skill, gender, race, ethnicity and sexuality. In this space of creativity and self-expression, movement takes endless forms—poi spinning, hoop dance, staff manipulation, and silk fans weaving colors through the air. Each artist brings their unique style, honoring traditions while embracing innovation. Free Flow is more than a practice; it’s an open invitation to explore, connect, and celebrate the boundless nature of movement. Here, artistry knows no limits, and every expression is welcomed with openness and respect.

Who: All ages. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

All materials will be provided at this FREE event.

Where: Meet at the Park House (blue building with public bathrooms) at Marsha P. Johnson State Park. 90 Kent Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11211

PLEASE NOTE:

• Registration is highly recommended for all participants, to secure your space in the program. Please reserve one ticket per individual.

• If we do not hear from you 10 minutes into the program, we will release your reservation to walk-up participants.

• If the program is sold out, but you still wish to attend, we encourage you to walk up and see if space is available.

• In the case of inclement weather, the program may be rescheduled or canceled. Please be sure to check your email a few hours before the program starts.
