Family Holiday Bird Count (Prospect Park)

Join Prospect Park Alliance for the 126th annual Family Holiday Bird Count on Saturday, December 20, 2025! Blooming naturalists of all ages are invited to take part in a beloved tradition more than 100 years in the making. The Holiday Bird Count is a nationwide census that helps conservation researchers track the long-term health of bird populations.
Plan for four to eight hours of birding, rain or shine, followed by a potluck dinner and a live compilation of the day’s sightings, which will be shared with participants after the count. The location will be announced soon.
