This June NCA is hosting a series of events centered around the English Kills tributary of Newtown Creek aimed to engage the East Williamsburg and Bushwick communities with this inaccessible waterway and ways that the upland communities can help improve conditions in both the Creek and on local streets.

This event is run in partnership with Cleanup Bushwick Initiative, NYC Department of Environmental Protection, BIG Reuse, and the offices of Councilmember Jennifer Gutierrez and Senator Julia Salazar.
We will provide gloves, tools, safety vests, and guidance on how to safely complete our tasks for the day. Before the event, registrants are required to complete a liability waiver and photo consent form (Adult form here and Minor form here).
Meetup Location: We will be meeting at Maria Hernandez Park.
Plan ahead for the event: Please wear weather-appropriate clothes, sturdy shoes, and bring your own water bottle and sunscreen if need be. If you are unable to attend, we ask you to please release your spot at least one day in advance.
