Earth Celebrations: Ecological City

This 10-mile urban ecological pilgrimage showcases giant puppets, costumes, and 21 sustainability site performances of music, dance, theater, and poetry, celebrating climate solutions in community gardens, neighborhoods, and the East River Park waterfront. Ecological City highlights urban climate solutions, including bio-swales, water harvesting ponds, solar gazebos, pollinator gardens, green roofs, rooftop bee farming, and coastal resiliency designs with wetlands and oyster planting. Directed by Felicia Young, Founder of Earth Celebrations, this collaborative art initiative involves over 50 partner organizations, 500 artists, gardeners, and residents, promoting urban sustainability and climate action.
