Pharoahe Monch, a cerebral MC from Queens with complex rhymes and a unique flow developed to compensate for his chronic asthma, has been making crowds move for more than 30 years; for this show, he brings his latest project, the irreverent and abrasive rap-rock band th1rt3en. They’re supported by a DJ set from elder statesmen and Main Source founder Large Professor, the man responsible for much of Nas’ iconic LP Illmatic and other foundational records by A Tribe Called Quest, Big Daddy Kane, Mobb Deep, and others.
