City Nature Challenge (Brooklyn Bridge Park)

As part of the City Nature Challenge, help us discover and capture photos of all the diverse species living in Brooklyn Bridge Park.
Join us in an international citizen science competition between cities to observe and document the most nature finds. No science experience is necessary, just an app called iNaturalist! Using this citizen science app, thousands of people all around the country will be observing and recording nature in their cities from Friday, April 28 through Monday, May 1, 2023.
On Sunday, April 30 the Conservancy Education team and Billion Oyster Project will be tabled at Pier 4 Beach, assisting the public with navigating iNaturalist, and helping with some nature photo captures!
