Bonsai Beginner Workshop at Strong Rope Brewery – Gowanus

Beginner workshops are perfect for you to grab your friends, grab a drink and come make tiny trees! We’re bringing the awesome art of bonsai out of the hedged in gardens and into the streets! Or at least into your favorite bars/breweries/pubs. Bonsai Bar is a night of fun you don’t want to miss. Learn the fundamental skills and techniques behind the art of bonsai while enjoying a night out with friends! Our teachers will introduce core concepts and guide your experience as you pot, prune, and design your very own bonsai tree! Our Guarantee: These tiny trees are so hardy we guarantee you can keep yours alive, or we’ll replace it.

This workshop will be hosted at Strong Rope Brewery – Gowanus. Showcasing New York ingredients to make truly regional beer, Strong Rope brews and serves hand-crafted ales & lagers at our Brooklyn locations (in Red Hook & Gowanus) and seasonally in the Adirondacks. Strong Rope Brewery is owned and operated by husband and wife team, Jason Sahler and Christina Quintero. As a New York state farm brewery, our approach is to examine what truly regional beer is. We look to explore the capabilities of our regional malt and hops while working directly with our farming partners and the land. We strive to create beers with intention and care and give our ales and lagers a true sense of place. As a family-run business, we support other local producers by serving New York state wine, cider, and spirits.
