Brooklyn Scouts from Troop 26 and T1G(irls) are going on an urban hike. They will meet at 8:15 am at McCarren Park (BBQ area on Driggs Avenue bw Manhattan Ave and Lorimer Street) and take the subway to the Brooklyn Bridge. They will then walk across the Brooklyn Bridge and visit notable sites in lower Manhattan: the spot where Nathan Hale was hanged, the African Burial ground, City Hall, Federal Hall, Wall Street, the Bull, Castle Clinton and Bowling Green.
Bring a water bottle and pack a lunch/snacks. If you’re a scout, do wear your Class A. Scouts will complete 2nd Class req. 3b, 1st Class req. 4b and Citizenship in the Nation Merit Badge requirements 1, 2, and 7. Parents are welcome. The hike should be over before 1:00
