1. 83 Apollo Street Shelter Vapor Intrusion – Stakeholders will discuss the situation whereby the onsite mitigation device (sub-slab depressurization system) was turned off enabling toxic vapors to permeate the interior of this building. This property was remediated through the state Brownfield Cleanup Program and the facility opened as the Continental Safe Haven homeless shelter in 2024. It resides within the Meeker Avenue Plume Superfund (federal) Site contamination area. The committee will hear details about the incident, the current environmental state, problem resolution and the plan going forward.
