Bike Repair 101 (Greenpoint Library)

Saturday, October 17th at 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM

Learn how to take care of your bike and tackle common repairs yourself!
This hands-on, beginner-friendly workshop will cover practical maintenance and repair skills that every cyclist can use.

Over 90 minutes, we’ll work through the basics of changing a tire tube and fixing a flat, adjusting brakes and derailleurs, cleaning and lubricating your chain, checking and adjusting wheel spoke tension, and identifying many other common problems before they become bigger repairs.

No previous bike repair experience is necessary. The goal is to help you better understand how your bike works and leave feeling more confident making basic adjustments and repairs on your own.

Led by Josh Rotbert of Greenpoint Bike Clinic, a volunteer neighborhood bike clinic offering free bicycle repair and maintenance in Greenpoint.
