Join GrowNYC for 4 interactive virtual gardening workshops!
This series runs from Tuesday May 31 – Friday June 3rd, 2022 and will feature a different gardening workshop each day from 4pm-5pm (ET):
- Tuesday, May 31: Envisioning Your Garden – Urban gardening inspires us to be creative! We’ll go over garden goals and possibilities, containers and raised bed styles, and more.
- Wednesday, June 1: A Year in the Life of a Garden – What is involved each month in growing a garden? We’ll do a month-by-month walkthrough!
- Thursday, June 2: Healing in the Garden – Learn from horticultural therapist Joanne D’Auria (of HortAbility) how the garden can foster multiple healing benefits for those experiencing and working in the garden.
- Friday, June 3: Gardens as Community Hubs – Learn the steps and approaches to fostering genuine community at your garden, drawing from the experience of NYCHA community garden founders Chantel Kemp and DK Kinard.
This series is great whether you’re gardening at a school, a community garden, or at home! Each workshop will feature a presentation and an interactive audience Q&A at the end. You can choose which workshops to tune into (or join us for them all)!
