Astronomy: Geminids Meteor Shower (Prospect Park)

Our Urban Park Rangers will be your guides to the solar system, discussing the science, history, and folklore of the universe. The Geminids is one of the best meteor showers in the heavens, producing up to 120 multicolored meteors per hour at its peak. Astronomy programs feature the use of telescopes and binoculars to observe specific astronomical events. Grab a blanket, a warm jacket, and get ready to gaze upwards to watch the showers. Programs are best enjoyed on clear nights, so please call ahead if weather conditions are not clear.
