2026 Trucks of Art
Trucks of Art returns in 2026.
Votes have been cast and the artists have been selected, but we’re keeping the results under wraps until the big reveal.
This citywide public art initiative, led by the NYC Department of Sanitation in partnership with the Sanitation Foundation, invited independent artists to transform active DSNY sanitation trucks into bold, moving works of art seen daily across New York City.
Using zero-waste materials including reclaimed paint collected at DSNY Special Waste Drop-Off Sites and SAFE Disposal Events artists have reimagined nearly 400 square feet of moving canvas, turning essential sanitation trucks into vibrant symbols of creativity, sustainability, and NYC pride.
Each design celebrates the work of keeping New York City clean while highlighting sustainability, waste reduction, and the essential DSNY workforce.
The Reveal
