MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Come clean your River!
We welcome you to take part in the Annual Riverkeeper Sweep, our annual day of service for the Hudson River and its tributaries. Join a shoreline cleanup, an invasive species removal project, or a tree planting project at a location near you.
Last May, we worked at 122 locations, and we can’t wait to do it again. Join us this year and be part of a community movement to clean and restore our waters and the places we call home.
There are plenty of ways to get involved:
Lead a project. Do you have a project in mind and know all the details? Submit a 2025 Riverkeeper Sweep site form.
Over the last 13 years of Sweep, with your help we have completed 1,349 service projects, bringing together thousands of volunteers across NYC and the Hudson Valley to clean up 382 tons of debris, and plant or maintain 8,851 native plants. This incredible effort is made possible by the generosity of our members, sponsors, and supporters. If you would like to support the continued growth of the Riverkeeper Sweep, please consider making a donation — every contribution helps protect and restore the river.
