Join North Brooklyn Community Boathouse (NBCB) for free canoe rides along Newtown Creek in Greenpoint, BK!

Location: Manhattan Avenue Park, (next to 1205 Manhattan Ave, Brooklyn, 11222)
NBCB’s Public Paddle Series lets us do what we do best – fulfill our mission to enable public access to the waterways of NYC for our local community. Join us on Saturday September 13, 12pm – 4pm, for free canoe rides in our 29-foot Langley canoes. Led by trained ACA trip leaders, participants will paddle down Newtown Creek and out toward the East River. There’s an opportunity to pause to take photos, and enjoy the views of Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens. These trips are family friendly, and run between 20-30 minutes throughout the day.
No registration is required, the event is first come, first serve.
We welcome our neighbors and members of other community organizations. Together, let’s learn about Greenpoint’s history and its environmental challenges and successes. Get out on the water and see the neighborhood as you never have before!
