4th Annual Flatbush Food Coop Community Garden Tour
The Flatbush Food Coop is organizing a tour of three local community gardens. Come see what’s growing and learn how to get involved at the gardens!
Come walk with us as we visit and tour three local community gardens! We will also stop at Flatbush Food Co-op to enjoy refreshments. We’ll be meeting at 10am at Newkirk Community Garden, 736 E 8th St Brooklyn. Our last stop will also be E 4th St Community Garden, who are hosting an open bluegrass jam from 1-3pm- tour attendees are welcome to stay for the show!
Please note this tour will involve walking or standing for a full 4 hours and traveling over a mile on foot. Please be prepared to travel in the heat- wear comfotable shoes, a hat, and sunscreen, and bring water. If you do not feel you can complete the full tour, you may join us at one of the stops below:

- 10:00 a.m.-10:45 a.m.: Meeting at Newkirk Community Garden – 399-371 Newkirk Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11230
- 11:05 a.m.-11:25 a.m.: Flatbush Food Co-op – 1415 Cortelyou Road Brooklyn, New York 11226
- 11:45 a.m.-12:35 p.m.: Q Gardens Community Farm – 58 E 18th St, Brooklyn, NY 11226
- 1:00 p.m.-1:45 p.m.: East 4th Street Community Garden – 173 E 4th St, Brooklyn, NY 11218
- Coinciding with the garden’s bluegrass jam taking place from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. Tour attendees are welcome to stay for the show!
