Kwanza First Fruit Planting the Seeds and Clean Up Day (Ashford St. Abundant Garden)

Come join the garden group at Ashford Street Abundant Garden for a workshop on 1’x1′ box spacing and depth digging. We will plant heirloom Blue Corn seeds, Burgundy seed and Golden Brown seed, Butternut Squash sweet peas and beans.

Corn to be harvested and shucked by the community in 6 weeks, Children hunt and harvest red potatoes.

Kwanza Ujima: creativity, time arts and crafting.

KWANZA PRINIPLES of First Fruits planting the seed is the goal to harvest and feed the community ideas on food safety.

UPCOMING Workshop grinding whole grain corn into corn meal.
