President of the National Lighthouse Museum

The collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore left six construction workers dead after a massive cargo ship collided with the bridge on March 26, 2024. Captain Joseph Ahlstrom, a professor at SUNY Maritime College, will discuss what happened and how we can learn from this tragedy.

The museum is located at 200 The Promenade, at Lighthouse Point, St. George ( adjacent to the Free Staten Island Ferry) Staten Island, NY 10301
