Stargazing! @ Park Slope Library!

Would you like to learn more about the stars and planets? Want to see what we can see in the night sky? Join us for this intro session to see what we can see!

Join the Park Slope Library for an evening of astronomy and stargazing from our garden. We’ll learn how to find objects and identify them in the night sky.

Science in the House! Meet an Astrophysicist

We will begin our evening with a discussion about space the universe and the stars and planets we may see with astrophysicist Nathan Whitehorn. 

“I study the universe at its very earliest and most energetic/catastrophic using a pair of instruments at the South Pole (the South Pole Telescope and the IceCube
Neutrino Observatory) “

This is a virtual meeting from 4:00PM to 5:00 PM. Please register if you’d like to particiapte in this part of the program.

Afterwards, we will head out to the garden for an evening of stargazing, until 7:30 PM. Drop in anytime to take a look through our telescope to see what we can see!
