Celebrate the final Movies with a View film, as part of Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy’s 22nd season of Brooklyn’s beloved outdoor film series!

On Thursday, August 25 the movie is left to Public Choice, with options include Back to the Future (PG), Mamma Mia! (PG-13), or Mission Impossible (PG). Voting for the Public Choice movie selection took place in mid-August and drum roll! The winner is Mamma Mia! (PG-13)!

Donna (Meryl Streep), an independent hotelier in the Greek islands, is preparing for her daughter’s wedding with the help of two old friends. Meanwhile Sophie (Amanda Seyfried), the spirited bride, has a plan. She secretly invites three men from her mother’s past in hope of meeting her real father and having him escort her down the aisle on her big day. Directed by Phyllida Lloyd.

Lawn doors open at 6pm and the movie begins at sundown (around 8:30pm). Smorgasburg will provide tasty treats and drinks all evening along the Pier 1 promenade, now starting earlier at 5pm, featuring a selection of NYC’s favorite food vendors! Beer and wine concessions will be available for purchase for adults 21 and over.

The pre-movie lineup includes a DJ brought to you by Brooklyn Radio, and a short film by local filmmakers, selected by BAM Film. Details to come.
