Outdoor Sketchbooking (Brooklyn Bridge Park)

Do you like to sketchbook? Are you interested in starting? Join Brooklyn Bridge Park educators and other like-minded people in a sketchbooking meet-up. Each time, we will meet at a different location in the park to concentrate on different subjects and stretch our skills. Come to one event or come to all. It’s up to you. These are informal sessions with some instruction for those who are new to the practice as well as an open exchange of ideas, techniques, and materials.
For September, we will be meeting at the northernmost pond on Pier 1 (Turtle Pond), where there are an abundance of summer flowers and grasses to draw, in addition to some wildlife. The meeting point will be on Bridge View lawn, next to the pond
We encourage you to bring your own, favorite sketching materials, but we will provide some for those who don’t have. This program is intended for adults, although older teens are welcome as well. Advanced registration is encouraged but not required. There will be 25 spots available on a first-come-first-served basis.
