Brooklyn Library presenter gil lopez is an environmental educator, community organizer and artists focused on sustainable urban development, equitable land use, waste reduction, and community-led environmental initiatives throughout New York City.

Sustainable Living Series: A Novel Brew Kombucha for Beginners, Sat, Jul 18, 10:30am to 12:00pm. Join us in learning how to make kombucha, an ancient fermented beverage from Asia. Fermented foods can benefit our gut health and making our own foods supports a healthy lifestyle. Learn about the SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture Between Bacteria and Yeast) and various types of teas used to brew and flavor this healthful beverage.

Saving seeds is an easy way to support biodiversity, strengthen local food systems, and become a more self-reliant gardener.
