Summer Music Series 2026 at Bushwick Inlet Park

For the 6th summer FBIP brings music to the beautiful waterfront in Bushwick Inlet Park with our Summer Music in BIP 2026 series. Come take in a skyline river sunset on the 86 Kent shoreline esplanade while absorbing great musical vibes from multiple genres.

2026 Schedule:

  • Thursday, Jul 9 @ 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm:  Bombayo. BombaYo ignites the ancestral rhythms of Bomba, an African derived music and dance tradition developed in Puerto Rico. The synergy of call and response singing, drumming and dance provide the foundation for a dynamic interplay between the solo drummer and dancer. BombaYo stirs the soul in a way that only music and dance can to uplift and celebrate our deeper humanity. BombaYo creates an intergenerational and participatory experience that honors people of all ages and abilities.

 

  • Thursday, Jul 16 @ 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm: Reggie Woods. Reggie Woods is an accomplished saxophonist, composer, arranger, and producer. His discography includes extensive affiliation and collaboration with notables like Billy Joel, Public Enemy, Stevie Wonder, Sting, Betty Carter, David Foster just to name a few.

 

  • Thursday, Jul 23 @ 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm: George Gray Jazz Coalition. A native of Baltimore, drummer George Gray is held in high esteem for his time and versatility. Soon after earning a degree in music education at Morgan State University, he was offered the drum chair in Pockets, a major funk group produced by Verdine and Maurice White from Earth, Wind & Fire. After three albums for Columbia with this group, Gray went on to freelance with a long list of musical greats including Chuck Berry, Gary Bartz, Earth, Wind & Fire, Pharoah Sanders, Abdullah Ibrahim, Onaje Allan Gumbs and most recently, the Sun Ra Arkestra.

 

  • Thursday, Jul 30 @ 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm: Ed Martinez & Conjunto Sabor. Ed Martinez is a percussionist, vocalist, and bandleader who has performed with various bands in NYC. Born to a musical family in the Bronx, Ed has developed a sound inspired by his mentors and teachers which include Mario Grillo, Tommy Bayiokes, John Berdeguer, and Sam Ulano.
