Public Paddle: Community Canoeing

The Public Paddle series enables the North Brooklyn Community Boathouse (NBCB) to fulfill their mission: enabling safe, responsible, access to our waterways, and educating residents to be stewards of the history, ecology and sustainability of the waterways of Newtown Creek and the adjacent East River.
At these free, family-friendly paddles, NBCB welcomes walk-up participants to join trained canoe guides for short trips on Newtown creek in their 29-foot voyageur canoes. They’ll paddle out toward the East River and take in views of Manhattan before paddling deeper into the creek, a very rewarding experience!
The event is open to the public from 12-4pm.
