During this workshop, Gowanus Canal Conservancy staff will give a brief overview of the value of planting native plants and provide some tips and tricks on how to plan a successful school garden. This will include planning for year-round beauty and maximizing habitat throughout the seasons and how to make the most of a small budget. Throughout the workshop, there will be time to ask questions. After the workshop concludes, Garden Train members will conduct its monthly meeting agenda.
Garden Train meetings welcome all and are open to the public. We serve school gardens and grow community by fostering connections between schools and our neighbors, which include community organizations and businesses. Please join us!
