Free, narrated PortNYC boat tours sponsored by NYCEDC take place along the South Street Seaport Museum Street of Ships; several boat tours will depart from additional locations. Hosted by local vessel operators, the PortNYC boat tours honor New York City’s maritime heritage and the historic “Street of Ships”—two miles of East River waterfront once lined with sailing and cargo ships—and remind festival-goers of the vital maritime services that continue to enrich our lives today. City of Water Day boat tours are free, but reservations for them require a nonrefundable $5 per ticket processing fee. Please note that passengers of all ages, including children and infants, must have a reservation to board any tour vessel. City of Water Day boat tours are held rain or shine. AMAZING!
Please do not sign up for more than one boat tour, so that the most people possible can enjoy a boat ride on City of Water Day. If you register for more than one tour, you may be notified later that your extra selection(s) are cancelled at the organizers’ discretion.
