SAIL | VIEW | PARTY!
On Friday, September 15th, New York Harbor Foundation will host the 7th annual New York Harbor Regatta —an annual favorite among New Yorkers, closing the summer season.
Enjoy a front row seat to to this year’s regatta aboard a luxury yacht for a fun afternoon amidst friends and colleagues. After the race, the party continues. You’ll disembark on Governors Island for a festive evening bash at the brand-new Island Oyster restaurant & bar.
Choose from two spectator cocktail cruise experiences:
Mariner III VIP Experience
Board the Mariner III hosted by Murray Fisher, executive director of NY Harbor Foundation, and Pete Malinowski, director of Billion Oyster Project. Enjoy a raw bar courtesy of Empire Oyster and light bites by Oceana Restaurant. Plus, live music, premium beverages, and race commentary.
Manhattan II Experience
Board the Manhattan II, part of the Classic Harbor Line fleet of classic yachts. Fresh oysters from Fishers Island Oyster Farm and light bites courtesy of The Clam. An open bar and race commentary completes the race viewing experience.
The bash takes place immediately following the regatta—a sailing competition in the New York Harbor. Sailors and supporters from a number of NYC-based companies and organizations will be competing in the J24, Colgate 26, J80, and Melges classes for the opportunity to win the NY Harbor Cup.
If you can’t make it to the daytime regatta, a ferry ride from the Battery Maritime Building will bring you to the bash at the brand-new Island Oyster on Governors Island—an open-air oyster bar with stunning views of downtown Manhattan—while the sun sets behind the Statue of Liberty. You’ll join the racing teams and other revelers for a festive evening on the island, complete with a DJ, open bar, oysters, and seasonal bites from local restaurants including Crave Fishbar, Cull&Pistol, The Roxy, Brooklyn Crab, Ed’s Chowder House and more!
